Florence's Cathedral -Sergio Arias-

In this work for this partial I tried to make a painting representing some great details of the Renaissance Period with a mixture of Contemporary Building Technique.

Why does it represent the history of that time?
It represents the history of that time because the dome in particular was very representative during the renaissance period. Many authors in this case, filippo Brunelleschi, as always, demonstrates his capability of making an immense dome with very few architecture techniques that haven’t been developed and he did a wonderful piece of art.
He is the author of the Cathedral of Florence and other great piece of art is the dome at St Peter’s Square that he did along with Michelangelo.
Why does it represent the culture of that time?
It represents the culture of that time because this great piece of art has a lot artistic details, which were all commissioned by the Catholic Church.
The culture that is expressed in this building is that Renaissance People were really devoted to religion and most importantly they input a lot his attention to the word of god and represent their greatness through incredible sculptures. For example David in the same time, and this temple the sculptures of the saint’s along the walls, etc.

Why and what does it represent something you really fond of that time or period.
I loved the dome of the cathedral; certainly I think that besides St. Pete’s Basilica this piece of architecture is the greatest because of the size of the dome that makes unique around other cathedrals of the world.

Why do you like that particular artist that much.
I like this artist in particular because I’m really into architecture and got astonished when I visited this great cathedral and I wonder how this awesome people like Brunelleschi did a so perfect structure with few resources.
This depicts that intelligent people were chosen to express their abilities; In that time The Catholic Church it was the most powerful authority in that time.
